wave~seed: Fundraising for The Ruth Ellis Center
Microtones presents wave~seed: a fundraiser for The Ruth Ellis Center with Rebecca Goldberg, Idalia, and Indy Nyles at The High Dive on 07.30.22 8 pm start. 🌱 Any donation at the door or direct to the center is welcome.
The Ruth Ellis Center has established a national reputation for quality and innovation in providing trauma-informed services for lesbian, gay, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth, and young adults, with an emphasis on young people of color, experiencing homelessness, involved in the child welfare system, and/or experiencing barriers to health and wellbeing. It is their mission to create opportunities with LGBTQ+ young people to build their vision for a positive future.
🌾wave~seed is a fundraising series with the intention to turn sound into support. We have released three fundraising records raising over $2500 across a variety of causes (microtones.bandcamp.com). 50% of proceeds will go to The Ruth Ellis Center and the rest will be split amongst the artists.

We’re teaming up with @blueprint.313 this Saturday for their one year anniversary at The High Dive alongside our fundraiser for @ruthelliscenter. An all night affair from 8 pm until late. Join us! 😎 we’ll be selling merch (prints, shirts, postcards) throughout the night. A bit of a change for pricing - it’s no longer any donation all night, rather it is free until 10 pm and charged $10-15 after. You can find tickets for the event under the Blueprint event for $8.

Thank you so much for joining us for the first wave~seed event alongside @blueprint.313 1st Anniversary 🌊.
✨Through your support we were able to both pay our artists fairly and donate $400 to @ruthelliscenter.
🌠Thanks to @indy_nyles@soy_idalia@rebecca__goldberg@ak0000000000000000000000@blackmoonchild___@a.s.l.princess@dj1elise and @mixtressofchaos for their beautiful selections, it was such a diverse and engaging night of music and dance.
So much gratitude to @cmioner Janissa, and AK for all of their work organizing and being open to working together. Thank you to Sarah for holding down the door, Margaret for facilitating the merch booth, and Ethan for helping with setup. Thanks to @thehighdivedetroit and Sam for hosting us.
